An NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital on eighteen riverside acres in Chalakudy — and a team of around forty people who keep it running quietly.

How we work

Guests come here for a calm, unhurried environment. That only works if the people looking after them are working in one too — so the way we run the place matters as much to us as what we offer.

Calm is the working condition, not just the product

The pace guests come for is the pace we keep. No shouting across a pass, no chaotic service, no culture of rushing. Work is planned so it can be done properly.

Very little hierarchy

We are around forty people across Ayurveda, operations, guest relations, marketing and customer support. Doctors, therapists, kitchen and front office speak to each other directly rather than through layers, and the owners are on site and reachable.

We hire for years, not seasons

Most of our team has been with us a long time, and that is deliberate. Guests on a fourteen-night programme notice when the same people look after them all week. We would rather train someone properly and keep them than run on turnover.

Fair, and visible about it

Provident Fund and ESI are provided. Salary is set by role and experience and discussed openly. Tips go into a shared box and are distributed across the whole team — including the people guests never see, in the kitchen and behind the scenes.

What comes with the job

All meals on duty, staff accommodation, public holidays, and leave as per local labour law — alongside Provident Fund and ESI. Nothing here is discretionary or informal.

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in your craft — this is not the place to learn the basics, and every role here works directly with international guests.
  • An intention to stay. We are hiring for the long term and are straightforward about that at interview.
  • Experience at an established Kerala property — a recognised Ayurveda centre, resort or hotel — is a genuine advantage in how we read an application.
  • Comfort with international guests. Most of ours come from Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Russia and the Gulf, and many are here for medical reasons rather than a holiday.

Three roles, right now

Resident Medical Officer (BAMS)

Ayurveda · Full time · Resident

A BAMS doctor living on site, working alongside our Chief Physician and consultants. You are the doctor guests see daily, and the clinical presence on the property overnight.

What the role involves

  • Daily consultation and review of in-house guests, alongside the treating physician.
  • Recording and maintaining clinical notes to NABH standards.
  • Prescribing and reviewing internal medicines under the direction of the Chief Physician.
  • Briefing therapists on each guest's plan and checking that treatments are carried out as prescribed.
  • First clinical response to anything that arises outside consultation hours, and coordinating with our partner hospitals when a guest needs more than we provide.
  • Overnight duty presence — supporting the night handover and audit alongside the operations team.

What we are looking for

  • BAMS from a recognised institution, with valid registration.
  • Clinical experience with Panchakarma and classical Kerala therapies.
  • Comfortable explaining a diagnosis and a treatment plan in English to an international guest.
  • Willing to live on site — this is a resident role.

An advantage

  • Experience in an NABH-accredited setting, or of an accreditation process.
  • Prior work at an Ayurveda hospital or resort receiving international guests.

Ayurveda Chef

Kitchen · Full time

Cooking is part of the treatment here. Meals are prescribed to each guest's constitution and stage of programme, so the kitchen works to the doctors' instructions rather than to a fixed menu.

What the role involves

  • Preparing vegetarian Kerala cuisine to each guest's dosha and prescribed diet, adjusting as their programme progresses.
  • Working daily with the doctors so dietary changes reach the kitchen the same day.
  • Cooking for guests on Panchakarma, where diet is strictly defined and timing matters clinically.
  • Maintaining hygiene and food-safety standards appropriate to an accredited hospital.
  • Hosting the weekly guest cooking session, where guests learn dishes they have eaten during the week.

What we are looking for

  • Professional experience cooking Kerala vegetarian cuisine.
  • Understanding of Ayurvedic dietary principles — or the genuine interest to learn them properly with our doctors.
  • Able to cook to a prescription rather than to preference, and to keep quality steady across a small number of covers.

An advantage

  • Experience at an Ayurveda centre, wellness resort or hotel serving international guests.
  • Comfortable talking to guests about their food — many will ask.

Waiter

Guest service · Full time

Our dining area is small and the same guests return to it three times a day for one to four weeks. The job is less about service technique than about knowing people — what they are being treated for, what they are allowed to eat, and how their week is going.

What the role involves

  • Serving breakfast, lunch, herbal tea and dinner in the dining area.
  • Knowing which guest is on which prescribed diet, and never serving outside it — some restrictions are clinical, not preference.
  • Carrying dietary questions back to the kitchen and the doctors accurately.
  • Keeping the dining area calm and unhurried, and setting up for the cooking sessions.
  • Noticing when a guest is unwell, low or eating less, and telling the team.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in restaurant or resort service, ideally with international guests.
  • Clear, comfortable English.
  • Attention to detail — in this dining room, serving the wrong dish is a clinical matter rather than a service one.

An advantage

  • Experience at an established Kerala resort or hotel.
  • Any additional European language.
