Ayurveda Retreat

An Ayurveda Retreat in Kerala, Guided by Doctors

Three, seven and fourteen night programmes on an 18-acre riverside estate — prescribed by our physicians, reviewed daily, and all-inclusive.

A retreat built around a programme

Your stay begins with a consultation. From it, our physicians prescribe a course of treatment that is reviewed each day and adjusted as you respond. Two therapies daily, meals matched to your constitution, yoga at dawn and meditation as the light goes — held together by a doctor who sees you every day. Softouch is an NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital as well as a riverside retreat, and the programme is the heart of it.

Choosing the length of your stay

Fourteen nights is the minimum for Panchakarma, where the preparatory and recovery phases matter as much as the main procedure. Seven nights suits a rejuvenation programme with daily therapy and consultation. In the quieter months a three-night stay is available as an introduction to Ayurveda — a first experience of treatment, of the rhythm of the day, and of what a longer programme would involve.

The rhythm of a day

Yoga at 07:15 in the open-air hall. Breakfast at 08:30, then your first therapy at 09:00. Lunch at 13:00, followed by an afternoon left deliberately open — the library, your veranda, the riverbank. Your second therapy at 14:30, herbal tea at 16:00, meditation at 17:30 and dinner at 19:00. On a major treatment day, the treatment shapes the day and everything else gives way to it.

What your stay includes

Two personalised therapies each day, all meals, daily doctor consultations, prescribed medicines during your stay, yoga and meditation, and airport transfers. Rates are quoted per night with taxes applied. The only additional charges are laundry and any medicines dispensed for you to take home — both nominal, and only if you use them.

Who comes to us

Guests arriving with something particular in mind: chronic pain, exhaustion, a metabolic or hormonal concern, or simply a body that has stopped recovering as it once did. Many come alone. The estate is quiet, smoke-free and alcohol-free, and the days are unhurried by design.

Where you stay

Fourteen rooms across eighteen riverside acres — Grand Cottages in the garden, Garden Villas, an Ayur Villa beside the treatment centre, a Pool Villa, a two-bedroom Grand Villa, and three suites in the main building. Small enough that the same team looks after you throughout.

Finding us

Fifty minutes from Cochin International Airport, around 25 km, with complimentary transfers on stays of seven nights or more. Chalakudy railway station is nine km away.
